Job Description

ASLT TABLE TENNIS CLUB is seeking a qualified and dedicated High Performance Table Tennis Coach to join our team in San Diego, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide private and group lessons to players of all ages and skill levels, ranging from beginners to competitive athletes.

• Mentor players to adapt to and counter specialized styles of play, with a specific focus on long-pips defensive techniques to prepare athletes for high-level competition.

• Bring athletes to tournaments and provide strategic, on-site coaching during matches.

• Support the onboarding of new members by offering tours, explaining membership benefits, and fostering a welcoming community atmosphere.

• Promote club activities and events to encourage active member engagement and participation.

• Assist with general gym upkeep, ensuring all equipment and facilities remain clean, safe, and organized.

• Collaborate with club staff on administrative and operational tasks to enhance the overall member experience and maintain smooth club operations.

• Create adaptive, diverse coaching strategies that advance player performance, working alongside other coaches to foster a dynamic training environment aligned with the club’s mission of producing national and international-level players.

• Travel with athletes to tournaments approximately once a month within the United States.

• Provide tactical advice, emotional support, and performance analysis during high-pressure competitions to maximize athlete potential.

Job Requirements

• Experience Required: One (1) year of work experience in a table tennis coaching occupation.
